Canvas Rebel: Clara, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

 

Clara Berta: My parents were hard-working Hungarians with strong ethics in doing good work. They instilled this work ethic in me. I believe this has been foundational in my business. Because of them, I love to create the best paintings possible. I work hard to create stunning pieces that make a difference in my collectors’ lives and in the galleries that represent my work.

 

Canvas Rebel: Let’s talk about resilience – do you have a story you can share with us?

 

Clara Berta: It was in 2012 when I sold my home in Studio City and decided to become a full-time working artist. It was a risk to start over again but I did it. I moved to Downtown Los Angeles and found a fabulous loft.. I turned the second bedroom into my art studio where I started to teach classes to women. Teaching what I loved was so much fun and gave me the livelihood and space to fully create my art.
